Mr. DeChello received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac College in 1987. Later in 1998, he graduated with his Master of Science degree in Allied Health Administratrion from The University of Connecticut. The bedrock of his career has been in healthcare with almost 30 years experience in out-patient rehabilitation. Mr. DeChello has been with The Orthopaedic Group, a division of Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists since 1998, coming on as the Director of Physical Therapy. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing four physical therapy locations prior to his promotion to Practice Administrator in July of 2011.

He has extensive experience in working with all aspects of non-operative and post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation. He has worked closely with the physicians of the The Orthopaedic Group, to develop comprehensive rehabilitation protocols. Mr. DeChello specializes in the treatment of foot and ankle disorders and has developed his own orthotic fabrication technique. He has traveled around the country for teaching engagements for other rehab clinicians and is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Connecticut Physical Therapy Association.

In July of 2011, he became Practice Administrator of The Orthopaedic Group, LLC and successfully led them through two build-outs of new offices, expanded growth of the practice with additional providers, ancilliary providers and new services. This group merged with Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists in October of 2014 and the group became known as, The Orthopaedic Group, a division of Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists.

He continues to lead them into the technological frontier as healthcare continues to evolve, spearheading efforts to manage, monitor and report on PQRS practice-wide. He is currently a member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Executives, Medical Group Management Association, The Orthopaedic Executive Group of Connecticut and is one of the founders of The Connecticut Community Orthopaedic Organization.

Mr. DeChello possesses the unique experience of orthopaedic rehabilitation, healthcare administration and management skills to lead The Orthopaedic Group, a division of Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists into the next generation in the delivery of orthopaedic care.
